Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith: Memoirs of an Unexpected Life by Queen Noor is dramatic & inspiring autobiography of American born woman in Arab world, especially Jordan. I read this book yesterday while doing laundry. Queen Noor, originally name was Lisa, first daughter of Najeeb Halaby & Doris Carlquist, becomes an important person (popular?) when she married with King Hussein of Jordan. In this book, reader can understand her role in many ways, which in general is a humanitarian activists. She such a brilliant woman in helping her husband & Arab peoples for peace in the middle of Middle-East conflict with Israel & the Western's. She support for King Hussein's campaign to bring peace to Arab nations. More than this, i think this book such as a historical-political story about her involvement in Middle-East conflict, and also the social story of the Jordanian Royal House. I think this is an alternative book for those who want to understand the realistic story of Arab-Israel-Western's conflict, writen in non-fiction style. I like the story very much.
