Britta Das is a nice autobio book. Based on her experience living in Bhutan as a physiotherapist in Mongar Hospital. Beautiful memoir of her with dramatic scenery of the Himalaya - peoples and environment - change her perspective between rich and poor, privilege and unfortunate, challenge and forgiveness. In a remote village hospital, she meet many unfortunate peoples with shocking condition - giving her new challenge between technology and cultural-ritual-taboo practices. Slowly she learns to understand the people and 'pressure' from the environment - the mysteries of tantric Buddhism and casts practices. Gaining insights into the traditions of this mystical kingdom, she makes lot of new frineds and falls in love with the environment and peoples, especially Dr. Bikul and Buddhism. Really, this book is very interesting for those interested with isolated country like Bhutan where people have to fight with their physical environment and tabo practises. Read it.
